Join us as NYHS makes history: this will be our first remote Annual Meeting!

After our short annual meeting, settle in to hear author Anne Gass’s presentation about her great-grandmother and Maine suffragette Florence Brooks Whitehouse. Anne charts Florence’s journey from a career as a novelist, painter, and vocalist and her personal world as mother of three sons to rising to a leadership position in the suffrage movement in 1914. Slides of historic photos accompany this lively talk.
