John Mann: Historian, author, surveyor, storyteller, and descendent of a Maine “Ulster-Scotch” ancestor.

In 2026, the United States of America will mark its 250th anniversary. The Maine Ulster-Scots Project and North Yarmouth Historical Society will embrace this historic moment with a special two-part event to honor the Scots-Irish Revolutionary War Patriots with connections to Maine who helped win the American War of Independence.

Come to this first event of the day on April 26!

This fun and fascinating presentation with historian and Maine Ulster-Scots Project director John Mann will focus on his ancestor Thomas Means and his family and neighbors who participated in the conflict.

Enjoy the talk … and follow it up with a visit to Old Town House for a pop up exhibit and reception at 1:30 at our Old Town House. Click HERE for details.

This program is in collaboration with the Maine Ulster-Scots Project, the Pejepscot History Center, the Harpswell Historical Society, and the Yarmouth Historical Society.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended! Please email julie@maineulsterscots.com
