Historically, our town has two villages: Walnut Hill …
and East North Yarmouth.
East North Yarmouth? Where is that, you say?
East North Yarmouth lies east of the Royal River (aha!) And it encompasses Royal, Mountfort, North, Ledge, West Pownal and Milliken Roads, and Route 9 (Memorial Highway).
And there are a couple of “corners” in East North Yarmouth. One is Dunn’s Corner (intersection of Route 9 and North Road) and another is Crockett’s Corner (intersection of Route 9, Mountfort Road, and West Pownal Road).
Many old timers have fond memories of East North Yarmouth … and North Yarmouth Historical wants to mine those memories!
